After Five Years of NOTHING and, After Much Complaint, the OLD HOA Board FINALLY Posted a Financial Doc...With Some Telling Numbers!

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, the FORMER Peachtree Village HOA Board, finally, posted a financial statement...after 5 years of posting nothing on the Goodwin & Co. web portal (Town Sq), but only after we exposed them for being so secretive for so long!

Now that we finally pressured them into explaining what they've been doing with OUR money, take a look at these figures and notice the ones highlighted below:

First, how is it they spent $4,042.00 on "landscaping," $366.80 for drinking water, and $46.46 for electricity, just in the month of February, 2025 (and for the year, $29,748.00, $3,230.00 and $375.00, respectively)? OK, so maybe they paid a company to cut the crabgrass on our greenbelt, perhaps at nighttime, dumped water processed for drinking by the City of Plano and an electric bill to operate sprinklers...but WHY? This practice is UNSUSTAINABLE, and we need to convert ASAP to natural, native plants that don't require any watering.

And by the way, "landscaping" does not include trash pick up! Thanks only to a community volunteer has there been any trash getting picked up.

Also, take special note about how much money has been tied up in a MONEY MARKET ACCOUNT--$11,668.39.00!!! After we've heard the current HOA Board complain, repeatedly, about how much they want to raise our dues because what we already give them is not enough, clearly, it's WAY MORE THAN ENOUGH! So much more they don't need it for anything, so there's a large surplus!

Finally, notice how much their budget denotes as "annual income": $48,192.00 and how the second largest expense are the "management fees," i.e., what Goodwin and Co. charges just so they could spy on us and sent us nasty letters threatening us with "fines" for so-called "violations"--$6,264.00!

The bottom line is this--the former HOA Board was WASTING our money, using it to cut down native plants, throw drinking water on crab-grass and paying people to spy on us, demean us by highly subjective judgments about the appearance of our homes and threaten to take even more money, a good portion of it going to a for profit, multi-$Billion corporation!
