No One Should Be Worried We Got Rid of the Old, Draconian HOA Rules, Because the City of Plano Has Plenty of Rules That Address Any REAL Problem!

For reasons that baffle most all of us who live in Peachtree Village, we know there are a few of our neighbors who have been convinced all hell will break loose after we do away with the draconian CCR (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions) the HOA has relied on to deny all residents of their sovereign rights to control their own homes. But we can assure our way-overly worried neighbors that all will be just fine! Why? Because the City of Plano has PLENTY of ordinances that all homeowners need to follow, primarily, to ensure we are all ensuring none of us unduly infringe on the safety, health or well-being of others!

Anyone can go to the City of Plano's website--https://www.plano.gov/941/Common-Violations to find out what rules the City has, which will still be in full force after we, the residents of Peachtree Village vote to nullify the HOA's ridiculous, invasive and long-outdated rules!

For example, do we need an HOA in order to do something, should a neighbor begin to seriously neglect painting the exterior of their home? Nope! The reason is because the City of Plano ALREADY had a requirement that home owners, "maintain their home's exterior so they're weatherproof and coated (painted) where necessary to prevent deterioration. All exterior walls are to be free from holes, breaks, and loose or rotting materials.

Of course, the nice thing about the REAL RULES the City of Plano has is that no agent of the City can accuse you of a violation and, based on whatever rationale they had for doing so, judge you guilty on the spot! No, we still live in America where, if any agent or officer of any level of government deems you a suspect of having committed some offence, you are still "innocent until proven guilty." You still have every right to make the government PROVE, beyond a reasonable doubt, that you did, indeed, commit the offence! Only after the government proves you are guilty, may it then assess a fine or some other punishment.

But the old Peachtree Village HOA Board constantly LIED and DISTORTED the truth about their "authority," making it FALSELY APPEAR they could judge you guilty, on the spot, and force you to pay them fines, though this as patently NOT TRUE!
