What is the Main HOA Strategy?
Divide and Conquer!
How in the world do HOAs get people to surrender control of their homes to complete strangers, though they pay for everything, and then, these HOAs demand they pay THEM more money on top of that? Well, of course, HOAs don’t come right out and tell them the truth about their real agenda, that they are out to take control over EVERY part of EVERY home and EVERY yard in the communities they infect. Instead, they do all they can to pit everyone, one against the other! They will make it seem as if they have no problem with “you,” just that “other” neighbor of yours who is a “slob,” who doesn’t care about how his house looks, who belongs to some “other” group that, because “they” are “different,” and are “naturally incapable of properly keeping their houses in order.” So, if you were already a little, or maybe even more than a little, unhappy with something your neighbor did or didn’t do, whether is was something to do with their choice of color of their house trim, a set of decorative rocks in their front yard, a different type of fence or that one time their grass got a little “too long” to meet YOUR standards as to what that might be…and as long as you BELIEVE the HOA is ONLY going to use the POWER YOU SURRENDER TO THEM JUST TO GO AFTER THOSE OTHERS, then sure, you’ll be ripe for their picking! You might actually swallow the idea the HOA is there to “help YOU.”
Here's the problem though. That very same HOA will go to that very same “other,” that same neighbor they told YOU they’d protect YOU from, turn right around and tell that person YOU are the problem, and your neighbor needs the HOA to him them from YOU!!! It’s the old Divide and Conquer strategy, and as long as you don’t open your eyes to see what they’re really up to, they’ll keep right on playing you!
Well, guess what? Here in Peachtree Village, the overwhelming majority of our residents and non-resident homeowners have already figured this out! Once again, the HOA Board has made it clear just how little they think about the PEOPLE of our community, as if we are a bunch of little, ignorant children who are so easily fooled!
When, at their last meeting on August 20, 2025, the Peachtree Village HOA Board President stated their intention to get residents to turn against each other by making accusations of supposed maintenance failures, little did they realize how much they exposed themselves and made it abundantly clear what a big lie they’d been spreading in the last couple of months when they were pretending “we just want to help,” “we love our little village,” and “we’re all about community”!!! They had hoped their new words would conceal their same old actions, and pretending to have changed.
No, they haven’t changed one bit, other than having tried, quite clumsily, to incorporate expensive “Proper-Speak” euphemisms into their language, which might have really impressed THEMSELVES, but didn’t fool the smart people of our community at all!
Funding
The Peachtree Village Neighborhood Union is freely supported by the generous contributions from our community's residents and non-resident homeowners. No contributions are tax-deductible, so they are all the more appreciated. To be clear, the Union receives NO money at all from the HOA, nor any portion of any HOA dues payments.
